Views of Tuscan hills, and delightful service by your house staff. Fully staffed, including a Chef! Breakfast served in the garden in summer; Enjoy cocktails and dinner at sunset there, too. A lovely dining room when weather does not oblige. Close to many Tuscany towns of interest to visit.

The Space

We are in love with the Villa Maremma Mare, this lovely, classic Italian Renaissance villa which was a convent in its former life and now has been carefully restored to offer exceptional hospitality, comfort and service within its lush private gardens right on the Mediterranean Sea, off the Argentario Coast of Tuscany. Rented fully staffed with daily housekeeping, a Chef and a House Manager. Plan a holiday here and bask in the beauty of Mediterranean gardens, Turquoise seas, private pool, beaches, and splendid sunsets.

The villa offers 6 elegant bedrooms and 3 spacious suites, sleeping up to 21 guests in luxurious comfort. All rooms are air-conditioned and each takes advantage of the splendid setting offering views  through large windows of the seas, the surrounding mountains and the Mediterranean gardens. Carefully selected pieces of antique furniture and elegance, while high quality beds and fine linens complete the sense of "luxe".

The reception rooms are grand and gracious. An antique dining table can seat a full house of 20 people. Several other living rooms allow you to gather inside as well as outside in small or large groups.

Attractive as the interior is, the piece de resistance of the property is the glorious "garden" in front of the Villa. Magnificent palm trees are juxtaposed with spreading umbrella pines and slim Cypress trees, leaving no doubt that you are at the Mediterranean. Compounding the attraction, the sea is mere metres away, and with the heights of Argentario visible to the west, and the hills of Tuscany in the north-west. This fortuitous result is stunning sunsets.

Perfect carefree holidays for families and friends. Thinking of a small private Wedding! Perfect!

Getting Around

Talamone and Fonteblanda are the closest towns, 4 and 2 kilometers away respectively, but you are a short drive to Argentario and its famed port towns of Porto Ercole, and Porto Santo Stefano. Take a ferry from San Stefano to the Island of Giglio. Less than an hour away are the interesting Tuscan hill towns of Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano, and the baths of Saturnia.
